Wie schon beim C1 wurden beim Facelift Toyota Aygo or Peugeot 107 und beim Aygo lediglich der vordere Stossfänger und die leicht zu ersetzenden Rückleuchten modifiziert, um so die Kosten gering zu halten.

Der Japan-Floh präsentiert sich nun deutlich sportlicher mit stärker ausgeprägten Lufteinlässen in der Frontschürze sowie farblich abgesetzten Kontrastteilen im Innenraum. Die Rückleuchten wurden ebenfalls überarbeitet und erscheinen nun durch mit Chromringen eingerahmten Reflektoren wertiger.

Das Thema Chrom wurde auch beim Facelift aufgegriffen. Der nun viel größer wirkeFacelift Toyota Aygo or Peugeot 107nde Lufteinlass an der Front wurde passend zum Trend mit einer horizontalen Chromblende dekoriert.

Die Preise bleiben wo sie waren und mit den beiden Nachzüglern wäre das nun vollständig geliftete Trio fit für die nächsten drei Jahre.

Unique Peugeot Design Competition



Unique Peugeot Design Competition is surely a sophisticated design. Designed by Ognyan Bozhilov the car is a small 3-seater city car perfect for a small family to drive around the city. This designing marvel is a hybrid system with a small 1.6 liter HDI engine and an electric motor and the engine is placed above the rear wheels. The reason for this was for overall weight distribution and the unique aerodynamic design makes it possible to touch high speeds. This giving that driving pleasure without compromising on the environmental aspect, something which seems to be one of the primary belief that Peugeot is believing in. So go green and enjoy!

concept Peugeot 4002 Lion 2003



The concept Peugeot 4002 Lion 2003 is present on the car with the large chrome radiator grill behind which two round headlights are concealed, the characteristic Peugeot emblems on the front, sides and rear of the car and by the slanted headlight configuration similar to what is seen on current Peugeot production cars. It recalls the 1936 Peugeot 402 in particular which had the typical double headlight configuration behind the elliptic grill; also the three bars on each side, the hubcaps and color scheme add to the recollection of the historic concept Peugeot 4002 Lion 2003. Odd enough the 402 didn't have footboards between the fenders while the concept Peugeot 4002 Lion 2003. The innovative parts of the design are the forward placing of the passenger compartment, the symmetry between front and rear and the hidden spoiler configuration underneath the car. To avoid having to fit large spoilers on the bodywork of this car, which is meant to be a super sports car, an air stream is lead under the car resulting in the necessary downforce. The grill in front acts as an air intake and the exhaust array in the rear, also fitted in a similar elliptic grill shell, as an outlet.
In all it's an appealing and expressive design, though not quite realistic. The Lion name refers not only to the Peugeot logo, but also to the similarities between a crouched, leering lion and the shape of the car which the designer sees in it. Well, in any case it's a bold addition to the range of Peugeot show cars and it would be wonderful if Peugeot added some of this boldness to the designs of its usually rather dull looking production cars.

The best modified peugeot rc hymotion is a four doors, four seats and four wheel drive coupe, that follows the two RC concepts presented back in 2002 and the 908 RC concept that made its debut two years ago, at the 2006 Paris Motor Show. Though, as expected, the concept will never make it into production, it previews several technologies Peugeot plans on introducing on its production vehicles. The powertrain features a 1.6 litre THP engine ?tted at the rear of the vehicle, combined with a 95 hp (70 kW) electric motor (powered by “lithium-ion” batteries recharged by an energy recovery system which operates during both deceleration and braking). The end result is a maximum power of 313 hp (230 kW), a fuel consumption of 4.5 litres/100 km (52.2 US mpg) and CO2 emissions in the combined cycle of only 109 g/km, or zero in electric only drive mode. However, though we’re talking about a hybrid, the performance figures are pretty impressive: 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds, 80 to 120 km/h (50 – 75 mph) in just 3.0 seconds.

One thing I didn’t like about the Peugeot RC HYmotion4 Concept was the fact that its design kinda looks like the Audi R8, don’t you think? And here are the photos we took in Paris. Enjoy!

Peugeot RCZ Coupe Premium Marketed



France's largest car manufacturer, PSA Peugeot-Citroen Group, plans to expand its market share by trying to get into the premium segment. Meanwhile, the Citroen was first start by introducing the DS3, which is the first model for the French manufacturer of luxury class. The Peugeot as his brother has announced that it will also develop a similar type called RCZ.

To bear the luxury sedan, the Peugeot-like set up a separate division also conducted Citroen-called "Hors-Serie". That is, this is a special division that makes a car with limited production. Similarly Autoevolution site launched, Wednesday (17/3/2010).

THE PEUGEOT 308 HYBRID – THE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY CAR FOR THE NEXT GENERATION




A step towards commercialization
Compared to the previous 307 Hybrid HDi demonstrator presented in 2006, the focus of the development has now switched to concentrating on the packaging of the hybrid technology into the structure of the new 308, and to ensure its compatibility with the future Euro V emission standards.

To ensure a competitive purchase price, priority has been given to using as many components as possible from current Peugeot vehicles. This has enabled the number of specific parts associated with the hybridization of the 308 to be reduced by around 30% compared to the previous 307 Hybrid HDi demonstrator.

A simple, automatic technology
The vehicle is started by a customary ignition key but, unlike a conventional vehicle, this does not start the diesel engine. Instead by pressing the accelerator pedal with the gearbox in automatic mode, the electric motor powers the vehicle. The diesel engine only operates when required and is controlled by a stop and start system. All the powertrain operating modes are controlled by a Power Train Management Unit (PTMU) according to the driver's requirements.

The driver is informed in real time of the powertrain operating mode by a schematic diagram on the vehicle's color multifunction display. Other information is also available, such as the battery charge status or the power train operation mode.

Well equipped and without compromise
The comprehensively equipped demonstrator has all the standard equipment of a Premium Pack 308 and also includes a panoramic glass roof and the RT4 multi-media system with a retractable color display screen. The level of standard equipment, interior space, interior brightness, dynamic qualities and drivability are no different to those of the standard 308.

General dynamic performance is also comparable to a standard 308 HDi. In-gear acceleration, however, both in town and on the open road, is improved with the Hybrid HDi. Indeed, during in-gear acceleration, the diesel engine is backed up by the electric motor which is able on demand to deliver a power boost of up to 31 bhp (and 96 lb ft of torque).

Optimized Hybrid HDi technology
The parallel hybrid power train consists of a 1.6 litre HDi DPFS 110 bhp diesel engine and an electric motor with a continuous output of 22 bhp and a torque of 59 lb ft. The Power Train Management Unit (PTMU) selects the right distribution of power from both units to meet the requirements of the driver and minimize fuel consumption.

The electric motor alone is responsible for starting and driving at low speed, while only the diesel engine is used on open roads and motorways, with both units coming into play simultaneously to provide quicker acceleration. The system is fitted with a 6-speed electronically controlled manual gearbox able to operate in automatic or manual sequential mode.

To extend the battery range, kinetic energy recovered during phases of deceleration and braking is used to recharge the batteries. A special button provides access to an all-electric "ZEV" Zero Emission Vehicle mode. Operation of the diesel engine is then restricted to more pronounced acceleration phases or high speed driving. This "ZEV" mode provides total absence of exhaust emissions and noise pollution.

Technical description of main specific components
The electric motor is of the synchronous type with permanent magnets, developing a continuous power of 22 bhp and a torque of 59 lb ft. However, intermittently its output can attain 31 bhp and 96 lb ft.

An inverter regulates the 150 to 260 volt current from the high voltage battery pack supplying the electric motor in accordance with the torque requirements determined by the Power Train Management Unit (PTMU).

A new generation battery pack has been developed which delivers an output of 200 volts. It is housed in the spare wheel well and does not, therefore, reduce the available boot volume. The batteries are of the Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) type.

A converter converts the 200 V from the battery pack into 12 V to supply the vehicle equipment in phases of solely electrical operation.

Managed braking maximizes the recharging of the batteries during phases of deceleration and braking. An Intelligent control of the braking optimizes the distribution between regenerative electric braking and traditional dissipative hydraulic braking. The braking management system gives priority to braking efficiency over the recovery of energy.
